Hermann Hesse, „Spätsommer“

Die späten August- und frühen Septembertage am Lago Maggiore – fühlten sie sich spätsommerlich an? Frühherbstlich? Herrman Hesse, der viele Jahre einige Steinwürfe entfernt vom Lago Maggiore in Montagnola hoch überm Luganer See lebte und dichtete, hat diese Stimmung für mich perfekt in seinem Gedicht „Spätsommer“ festgehalten…

    dass Du mich angeschrieben hast und mir Deinen tollen Blog genannt hast. Die Berichte und Fotos zum Thema Hesse sind toll. Schau, Du hast noch das Kloster Maulbronn (Weltkulturerbe) vergessen. Dort gibt es eine kleine Bücherei die ungewöhnlich gute Literatur von und über H.Hesse verkauft.
    Übrigens Das Kloster Maulbronn, dort kommen die schwäbischen Maultaschen her, ist eine Reise wert.

      Lieber Martin,
      ganz herzlichen Dank für Deinen Hinweis auf Maulbronn. Ich habe ihn gleich als Link umgesetzt. Ich war vor sehr vielen Jahren als Tübinger Studentin zwar mal in Maulbronn, sollte dies aber wohl unbedingt wiederholen und dann dort vielleicht ganz authentische Maultaschen essen. -Natürlich freue ich mich auch, daß Dir meine kleine Assoziation zu Hesses „Spätsommer“ gefallen hat. Ich liebe seine wunderbare Sprache einfach über alles!

Dear Pet, do you actually mean the technical skills needed for presentation (the matter indeed is complex but I have a very helpful husband) or did you rather refer to my personal interpretation of Hesse´s poem? As to the latter: I do think that all of Hesse´s poems are not hermetic but quite clear, due to the opinion Hesse expressed in Das Glasperlenspiel (The Glass Bead Game), that „depth of meaning lies in lucidity and serenity“. So, when I was in the region he lived, I just had to get hold of the images all around and to give them back to his words. – Have a lovely weekend!
